Prune is a charming French Bistro that boasts the feeling of neighborhood with positive vibes and delicious food.
Seen and be seen at Prune French Bistro, where rustic French dishes are served night and day. A place where old meets new, innovation meets restoration, and good food meets amazing ambiance. This delightful eatery in the heart of Mar Mikhael is where the beautiful people gather to dine, chat, and people watch. Instantaneously one is greeted by the sound of chatter and the aroma of French cuisine. Prune is known for its simplicity and authenticity to the typical French feel yet boasting little architectural details. High ceiling with dimmed yellow lighting is filled with hundreds of items that make it look like a piece of art. Black and white photographs double up as wallpaper, and the lamps, decorated by oversized black shades cast seems as if almost as if one has stepped into the set f a 1930’s movie. The spiral staircase adds a kind of majestic feel to an industrial place. The place is filled with square white marble tables covered by paper placemats and surrounded with black wooden chairs and brown leather cushions. As the name suggests, prune is featured highly on the extensive menu. The restaurant glass facade is typically French displaying some of the best items served all written creatively on the glass. Make sure to try the Poulet aux Prunes; four slices of chicken layered one next to the other, served with prunes and slices of roasted almonds in a bath of sauce. Put one small piece of chicken, a piece of prune and cover it with sauce before taking it into your mouth. Amazing texture, awesome chicken quality, premium sauce, extraordinary flavors and a gentle sweet aftertaste that's cherry on top. Come and taste signature creations that are up to the standard of Michelin starred restaurants.
