Stunning interior with a sophisticated crowd and menu, Gilt in Saifi Village is the trendy cosmopolitan restaurant to see and be seen.
Open since 2013, Gilt promises to wow you as early as when you look at its window. Stroll down Gouraud Street in Saifi and you’ll notice an intriguing display of wooden chairs stacked up in a pyramid-like shape peaking through the floor-to-ceiling glass. Venture inside and be amazed with the cutting-edge architecture centered on geometric and modular shapes such as the triangle. Sleek lighting fixtures, ultra-modern wooden panels, crisp white walls, high-arched ceilings and an abundance of natural light during the day will all leave you awe-struck.
The name Gilt is a far cry from its close relative with a U; it means covered with gold leaf, reflecting restaurant's sophisticated feel, as well as hints to the use of raw material in its furnishing. Its International menu features Mediterranean, Asian and Peruvian fare; the truffle risotto is a must and the desserts are not to be missed- think out-of-the-box recipes like orange hazelnut cream and sea salt caramel (of the latter may not be so out-of-the-box these days). Don’t get distracted by the loud chatter- the Gliterati get giddy at Gilt- focus on the company and your delectable dishes and you’ll be sure to have a satisfying experience at Gilt.
