Fadia Kiwan is Professor of Political Science and Honorary Director of the Institute of Political Science at Saint Joseph University in Beirut. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Paris I Sorbonne, and a C.A.P.E.S in Philosophy and Psychology from the Faculty of Pedagogy of the Lebanese University; Author of several research articles. Representative of the President of the Republic of Lebanon to the Permanent Council of La Francophonie.
She held the position of Advisor to the Minister of National Education and Fine Arts 1991-1992 and to the Minister of Culture and Higher Education 1992-1996. She has worked as an expert in programs of the World Bank and UNESCO and was appointed a member of the University Council at the United Nations University 2007-2013. She is nominated by UNESCO as a member of the International Commission of Experts to revisit the Report of Jacques Delors on "Education in the 21st Century".
