Fine Mexican food and cocktails in an institution of the Beirut Night-life.
Pacifico, by right, can be called an institution in the Beirut Night-life. Established in 1997 this Mexican style restaurant and bar was there before Monot street became the centre of Beirut at night. 18 years later after Monot made way to Hamra and Mar Mikhail, Pacifico still remains landmark.
The new location, only 150 meters up on Monot street, is an upgrade on an already fantastic venue. The inside is and feels larger thanks to the many windows. The décor is kept true to style with light yellow/beige and wooden furniture and bar all of it reminiscent of Latin American colonial interiors. It feels comfortable and homey and so produces a very friendly atmosphere.
The new addition is a large outside space. The garden framed by greenery features a nice bar that serves your drinks. Unlike the inside room this open air space carters to a more mellow audience, seated mostly, and importantly not loud. It is a fantastic place to enjoy a quality conversation over famous Margaritas and fine Mexican food.
Pacifico earned its reputation through the quality of both, food and drink. High quality cocktails with fresh ingredients, such as Gin Basil, Moscow Mule etc., mixed with quality ingredients such as Fenitman's tonic for example, complement a fine menu of Quessidallias, Burritos, Tacos and a variety of Mexican dishes. In addition every week a different seafood menu is on offer. All of which will leave you wanting more.
