Experience one of the last truly fine-dining experiences in town!
Le Talleyrand (named after the French diplomat? We’re so not sure!) is a restaurant where a gastronomical table in its purest traditions would satisfy the most arduous taste. If you’re looking for the whole five-star experience- think white crisp tablecloths, tuxedo-wearing waiters and mouthwatering cuisine, look no further than Le Talleyrand. Ok we were only half-serious about the waiters wearing tuxedos..but the service is so refined that we would be forgiven for our thought. Attentive but never overbearing, each staff member is like your very own friendly ghost. There when you need him/her and no where to be found when you are looking for privacy. The setting is what you would expect from such a place. Comfortable armchairs, spacious tables and all-white tableware. Book a table on the terrace if you are in the mood for romance. Lit by torches and candlesticks, it makes for a heavenly corner where you can dine under an olive tree while listening to soft music.
We’ve saved the best for last: the food of course! Distinguished French and International cuisine at its best. Always fresh and delicious. Try the Risotto Fondue (if you’re a big fan of cheese) and/or the fresh “Effiloche de Crabe”-aka yummy crab salad- The extensive wine list is fit for the finest connoisseurs. Some dishes are seasonable so don’t go ballistic if they happen not to have the Sole Meuniere you craved (let’s just say it’s been known to happen). Now for the last-minute downer: your bank account. It may suffer a blow. Nothing that you can’t recover from given the quality you would be getting. Take the plunge we say.
