December.. A holy month!
Every December, the historical churches of Beirut become a place to enjoy the concerts of Beirut Chants, the festival of classic, sacred and ethnic music. Beirut Chants acts as a platform for local and international performers and orchestras, and spreads a message of peace, hope and tolerance among people from different backgrounds.
Day 20 program:
The Avanesyan Trio: it was established in 2010, and unites the brothers Hrachya and Sevak Avanesyan with Julien Libeer, whose individual careers have led them to such venues as the Wigmore Hall in London, the Casa da Musica in Lisbon or the Théâtre de la Ville in Paris. The Avanesyan Trio sets as an objective not only to explore the great standards of the repertoire, but also to allow its public to discover less known works, with a particular affinity for Armenian 20th-century chamber music.
