Cafe vert

Cafe Vert, situated next to Kayan, on Lebanon street just up from Gouraud street, is an inviting place. The friendly and comfortable atmosphere that in no small part is due to the well placed potted plants and trees will most certainly entice you to come back. The interior combines the old stone walls of the building, dark leather seating and dark furniture that go well with the plants.

Its friendly staff and bartender will fix you cocktails to your hearts desire. Even the undecided costumer will be finely served, just leave it to the man behind the bar to hit the spot. He won't disappoint.

The prices are very reasonable and if you make it before eight pm to the Happy Hour, you will get a good head-start. True to the green/eco theme its menu depends on seasonally available products. Cocktails, fresh salads and sandwiches all profit from high quality seasonal fruits and veg. Also true to the eco theme is the largely vegetarian menu.

Occasionally it hosts live music performances by bands and Djs.

Cafe Vert more than fulfils what it advertises: "Step away from traffic jams, loud crowds, or horn pollution & find our entrance decorated by plants". It does by providing a nice respite from the noise and pollution of Beirut days no small thanks to the greenery.
