A zen sushi meal? That’s the Obi promise. With its newest Badaro branch hot off-the-press, prepare to be delighted.
Japanese culture is based on nature, beauty and harmony – traits that are present in the country's art, gardens, ceremonies, décor and,of course, gastronomy. The elaborate cuisine of Japan goes to great lengths in order to maintain the delicate flavor of the ingredients, balancing the taste of dishes with their appearance, overall environment and superb mood. This holistic concept is what lies behind Obi.
Open since 2012, this casual Sushi joint had two outlets located within both ABC malls (Ashrafieh and Dbayyeh); its newest branch is now open on trendy Badaro street. With its colorful walls and inscribed ceiling, there is plenty to keep you entertained while you wait for your order. The hands-on manager is regularly on-site ensuring smooth sailing. That’s what we like to see in any service-based establishment.
The menu includes all the usual suspects as well as a business lunch menu option and an open sushi formula for 29$- kind-of. The “open” sushi is restricted to a certain selection with more conditions and fine-prints than we’ve seen on some contracts. You’ve been warned.
