A lebanese taouk joint offfering tasty low-budget sandwiches at reasonable prices
Malak al Tawouk’s roots date back to 1996 when as students, owners opened their first restaurant catering to friends and family. Their customers became regulars and the rest is history. This popular Lebanese joint has spread like wildfire across the country and neighboring Jordan in recent years. With branches in Bliss street/hamra, Ashrafieh, Haret Hreik, Furn el chebbak, Jal el dib, Jounieh and Tripoli, it is guaranteed to satisfy your craving for all things chicken wherever you may be. Although they offer a variety of meat sandwiches, including hot dogs, they are best known for their Taouk sandwich. Malak el Taouk is not for the faint-hearted. With its large sandwiches and generous fillings, it will zap hunger from your body in an instant- trust us, their side of fries alone could stand for you entire meal. Expect a crowd at lunchtime. The wait, however, is usually short given their practically automatic handling of all ingredients. Their delivery service is almost as prompt as their manual performance with orders taking as little as ten minutes to reach your door if you are staying within Hamra. Do not be surprised if you receive a feedback call after placing an order; they may be a small fast food place but they are keen on customer satisfaction. Next time you have a hankering for Taouk and don’t want to break the bank, Malak el Taouk should be at the top of your list.
