LMT 13 > Chabrouh - Kfardebiane

Trail Description
This part of the LMT begins by crossing a broad valley below the famous ski resorts at Ouyoun el Simane and Faqra (فقرا ). The valley itself, however, is easily accessible all winter despite some snow.  There is a series of climbs and descents with views of Lebanon’s high peaks off to the east and to the west, on a clear day, the Mediterranean. The trail passes a well preserved Roman temple that you can usually visit with the help of a guard to unlock the gate.  This portion of the trail ends up in a well watered area of small villages and intense cultivation. A 4-km paved road from Mount Smash to the Qanater area is suitable for biking.
