With its casual atmosphere and nonchalant attitude (they close whenever they feel like closing), Pierre and Friends is a place that defines laid-back cool. Imagine having a “pied dans l’eau” lunch (that is feet-in –the –water, excuse my French), a sunset dip into clear blue waters or a crazy party where time seems to stop between shots and two puffs of shisha and you’ll get what Pierre and Friends is all about. Your sense of reality slightly altered by the overall outstanding energy of the place, you might consider jumping off a cliff into the shallow waters. Don’t worry, you’ll probably make it.

Ranked among the best bars in the world, the place has somehow retained its authentic, salt-of-the earth vibe that welcomes all god’s creatures –fish and bipods alike- into its all-round awesomeness. Located along a stretch of sand in Batroun, the beach restaurant/bar offers basic facilities, including lounges, chairs as well as a traditional Lebanese menu. Centered on seafood-duh!- the dishes are reasonably priced and satisfying, especially if washed down with some of the excellent local beers around such as 961 or the newly added Colonel beer.
