A steakhouse nestled amidst pine trees, Lola is the place to go for an escape from the city.
Open since 2010, Lola is one of the few go-to places when considering a relaxing lunch or dinner in natural surroundings away from the hustle-and-bustle of Beirut. Surrounded by tall pine trees with stunning views, the place is decidedly relaxed with a laid-back ambiance and cozy set-up. From leather couches to wooden chairs, seating options are bound to suit your mood. While the service can be temperamental and the prices slightly high, the food is satisfying and the setting alone is worth a visit. The menu offers a selection of steaks, fondue, salads and pizzas in addition to more exotic French fare such as escargots and frog legs. Although the focus is clearly on meat dishes, the steaks are hit or miss. They also have a kids menu for your little ones. Do not skip dessert, their selection is varied and each concoction is delicious in its unique way. During the winter, the place’s indoor seating area is equally appealing with a decidedly alpine charm, complete with stonewalls, fireplace, ceiling chandeliers and soothing background music. Reservations are recommended during weekends and holidays.
