If you’re one of those party animals who thinks sleep is a biologic mishap, Bodo in Hamra is for you. This pub in the heart of Hamra never sleeps. Well almost.
Love it or hate it, Hamra street was and always will be the heart and soul of Beirut and cozy pubs like Bodo embody its spirit. Sit indoors or grab one of the high-chairs that invariably spills out onto the sidewalk and enjoy some of Bodo’s delicious drinks in a funky laid-back atmosphere.
No need to dress-up to go to Bodo (yes ladies, I hear your sigh of relief loud and clear), just head there with your cool friends and take-in the chill-out vibe practically anytime of the day or night. That’s right. This is the pub that never sleeps in the city that never sleeps. Uber cool? Yes. Exhausting? Definitely. Whether you’re in the mood for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a popcorn snack, Bodo is sure to oblige. The staff is always there to welcome you with a smile. That includes greeting you and your 3am hangover in good cheer. Bodo’s affordable menu includes sandwiches, bar bites and burgers- the mini and maxi kinds, depending on your mood. Ladies, salads have also made the cut though I personally would recommend the heartier fare.
If you're craving the Bodo vibe but you're not around Hamra, try one of their 4 other locations in Mar Mikhael, Jounieh, Badaro or Uruguay street downtown (though these may not be open quite as late)
